About Swan Hill
Swan Hill is a city in the northwest of Victoria,
Australia on the Murray Valley Highway and on the
south bank of the Murray River, downstream from
the junction of the Loddon River. At the 2011
census, Swan Hill had a population of 9,894. Swan
Hill gives its name to a wine region straddling the
Murray River. Swan Hill has a semi-arid climate
with hot summers and cool to mild winters.
Lying on the borders of Victoria and New South
Wales, the Swan Hill region is home to a vibrant
community, fine food and wine, a rich pioneer
heritage and endless opportunities for boating,
fishing and golf. Swan Hill is renowned for its stone
fruits.
